About Us

Nucla First Baptist Church was founded in 1949 and has faithfully met at the same location since 1953.  We are in association with the Uncompahgre Baptist Association, the Colorado Baptist General Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention.

The Vision of Nucla FBC is to see every man, woman and child in Nucla and the surrounding area come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.  Through loving relationships, honesty and sound Biblical teaching,

Loving Relationships:    Relationships are crucial to making disciples.  We can not gain the trust of people if we will not take the time to build relationships.  We can look at all of Paul’s letters and see how important relationships were.

Honesty:  As a follower of Christ honesty is a must.  We can not effectively reach this community if we are not honest in our dealings on a daily basis.  Paul tells Timothy “Watch your life and doctrine closely.  Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save yourself and your hearers.”  (1 Timothy 4:16)  Living an honest life will always be a witness to the world around us.

Sound Biblical Teaching:  Everything we do is based on the Bible.  If our teaching is not we will damage relationships and be seen as dishonest in the eyes of the world.  Paul tells Timothy;  “All scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work .”  (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
